Entrevista a Marta - Beijoterias/Enchanted Jewellery/m design/Weddings Designers

"Hoje vamos conhecer um pouquinho mais da Marta T, do blog Beijoterias. Mas como menina-mulher cheia de sonhos e concretizações, a Martinha não tem 1 nem 2, mas sim 4 blogs! Venham daí conhecer!

Como surgiu a paixão pelo artesanato?
A paixão pelo artesanato vem já de longe, há muitos anos, era ainda miúda no secundário.
Como surgiu? Sinceramente não sei bem. Começou primeiro pela bijuteria. As primeiras peças, muito toscas, a venda às amigas da escolinha. As encomendas das amigas da mãe, a evolução, a primeira marca, Beijoterias.
Mais tarde comecei a tirar um curso de design no IADE, outra grande paixão. O gráfico, fotografia, visual.
Entretanto fui aperfeiçoando a bijuteria, chegando agora a esta última colecção Enchanted Jewellery, sempre em conjunto com outros projectos, como o m design e a decoração de casamentos Weddings Designers.

Artesanato é hobbie ou algo mais?
Talvez o possa chamar de hobbie, pois não é "trabalho", nem a tempo inteiro, apenas nas horas vagas. Mas para mim é muito mais. É uma paixão, uma parte de mim.

Quanto tempo do teu tempo dedicas às artes manuais?
Sinceramente? Todos os segundinhos que não estou a estudar, trabalhar na tese, etc. Este ano espero ter mais tempo livre inicialmente pois estou a fazer a tese, ou seja, tenho tempo flexível. Não tenho horários. Portanto sempre que posso, estou a fazer algo relacionado com esta grande paixão, sejam posters, cartões de visita, anéis, colares, cartões de Natal, etc...

Onde procuras inspiração?
Sou uma pessoa extremamente visual, basicamente inspiro-me em tudo o que vejo no dia-a-dia. Seja a caminho da faculdade onde vejo um ramo no chão em cima da calçada por onde nascem pequenas ervinhas daninhas, ou simplesmente no flickr, ou blogs de decoração e de inspiração. De momento os meus favoritos são o Creature Comforts e o Decor8.

Como descreves o teu cantinho de criações?
O meu cantinho de criações tem de me inspirar. Posso dizer que é um cantinho encantado, simples, com uma atenção minuciosa aos mais pequenos detalhes.

<E o seu nome [do cantinho de criações], como foi decidido?
Quis fazer bijuteria literalmente encantada, com um toque vintage! Como se tivesse saído do pescoço de uma princesa, do País das Maravilhas, das histórias da Branca de Neve, Bela Adormecida, Bambi. Quis aquele toque de encantamento.

Quais são os teus materiais de eleição?
Os materiais de eleição são os vintage, principalmente metais. Medalhões que abrem, perfeitos para esconder a fotografia de quem mais amamos, ou pequenos tesouros. Peças com significado, desde bicicletas antigas, chávenas de chá, cadeiras, laços, carrosséis, sempre encantadas.

Quais as características que consideras essenciais para um bom resultado final?
Na minha opinião, para além da peça, da escolha de materiais de primeira qualidade e da sua perfeição, é a apresentação. Acho que um embrulho feito com muito amor, com tecidos, rendas, botões forrados, etc, é essencial, um cartãzinho de agradecimento e um miminho dentro do envelope. =)

E no respeita a trabalhos de terceiros?
Gosto imenso de acompanhar o trabalho das minhas colegas artesãs, sejam ilustrações, a malas, a agendas, até bijuteria. Sinto muito apoio entre artesãos, existe muita cooperação, troca de informação, bons conselhos, etc. =)

O que é que ainda não fizeste, mas gostavas?
Acho que durante o resto da minha vida vou descobrir sempre imensas coisas que adorava experimentar!
Mas para já, era ter um atelier aberto ao público. =)

Um Sonho: Viver numa casa antiga no campo, com alpendre verde água, um quintal enorme com buganvílias e um baloiço.
Uma Mensagem/recomendação a todas/os artesãs: Criatividade e amor acima de tudo. Inspirem-se sim, no trabalho dos outros, mas sejam criativos e únicos! Deixem o vosso cunho pessoal. =)

Why would you want a digital camera that doubles up as a rubber stamp? Why? The answer is simple….just for fun! As of now digicams offer a variety of options and modes (sepia, landscape etc.) to take pictures and edit them. Stampy Digital Camera gives you the option of creating a rubber-stamp version of your photograph, so that you stamp it onto any sheet of paper or surface. If you ask me, the best way to tweak this concept will be to have it stamp out pictures in multi colors instead of the single red. What do you think?

História do poster "Keep Calm and Carry On"

O cartaz foi inicialmente produzido pelo Ministério da Informação (governo Britânico) em 1939, durante o início da II Guerra Mundial, e foi concebido para ser usado como apoio, caso os nazis conseguissem invadir a Grã-Bretanha com sucesso.
Dois milhões e meio de exemplares foram impressos, mas o cartaz foi distribuído apenas em número muito limitado.
O criador do cartaz não é conhecido.
Em 2000, uma cópia do "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster foi redescoberta na Barter Books, uma livraria de venda em segunda mão em Alnwick, Northumberland.
Dado já terem decorrido mais de 50 anos da criação do cartaz, a lei referente ao Copyright já expirou e a imagem está agora em domínio público.

I really admire the eclectic style of Dallas based blogger, Jane Aldridge. Jane is only seventeen years old but given she has such a fashionable Mum (Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home) it is really no surprise she has a fantastic sense of style, not to mention a sick shoe collection. The Hills & The City star, Whitney Port made her New York Fashion week debut with her line Whitney Eve. She certainly puts her former co-star Lauren Conrad to shame with her designing abilities. The designs were young & flirty, the hems were kept short. Metallics, cream, and sherbet pastels were favored.

Whitney stepped out looking fabulous in pastels as well. In fact, I would happily steal the clothes right off her back!
